United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

I like it - sounds like lots of little issues fixed - interior lighting, media interface, interior etc. And by the sound of it several big issues have been addressed too - suspension, bushes, roll bars, road handling all mentioned in various places. Will be very interesting to hear how a longer term road test goes next year I guess.

Did I read right that they're keeping the TDV8 but it doesn't get the new ZF transmission? Which would suggest to me either a new TDV8 which does get the new transmission later, or phasing out. Latter seems daft as TDV6 won't match the power and petrol (non SC) V8 won't match the mpg - so logically would leave a gap in the range for a big diesel. Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

The interior is lovely... I always tough the current interior had way too much plastic, especially the centre consol. But I am really put off by the redesign front, especially under the bumper. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I agree about the front - the side vents are too big, headlamps, grille and bumper are out of proportion. If put next to each other, the old one looks more modern, same for the D3 and D4.

its a bit confusing, we know TATA owns LR
but we tend to still put LR under Jaguas umbrellas or GM's if it still owns JAg
so many parts of the LRS from the JAgs
can someone sort it out?

The proper name for the new holding company is in fact Jaguar Land Rover I believe? But yes, the same company and there will be a lot more shared technology to come I expect...

Quick Update
- No official information has yet been cascaded down to the UK dealer network. As soon as I have some official info then I will of course post details.

Current information is what was announced at New York and I would imagine that the various motoring publications will publish their press-packs in their next run.

The phone has gone crazy, so I guess the products have had the desired effect. We are all very much looking forward to them here.

James Thumbs Up

PS. For those guys who are looking to secure build slots, I will speak to you over the next few days.

Is the TDV8 engine being dropped from the 2010 model range? I quite fancy a V8 diesel, just need to find a dealer who is interested enough to deal. I think with times being tight dealers in south east Scotland have given up wanting to trade.

Can any "insiders" here confirm whether 18" rims will still fit over the larger front brakes of non-S/C 2010s? Over on disco3 they say they should as the redesigned calipers are slimmer and compensate for the larger discs... But since the new disc is almost 3/4" larger than the current one and even a smidgen wider than today's Supercharged disc, I am not entirely convinced. I'd hate to give up my beloved 18" wheels, there's a much wider selection of good 18" tires for off-roading - at least here in the US.

Also, no oil dipstick and drain plug on the new petrol engines, is it true? Whassup with that?!? What do I use to drain the old oil from the pan now, my Hoover vacuum cleaner? Confused
