James, any news on prices... also, can you find out if you can retro-fit the interior to pre-2010?

Cheers,

Darren

I'd be very interested in a retro interior fit but i reckon they wont do it or it will cost a squillion quid

i'm not so sure... in the current climate, i can't imagine they would mess around too much with the underlying structure of the car, thus changes should be simply cosmetic. ie. interior changes should simply snap on to the existing sub-frame. The only question mark i have is the control for the NAV Screen... it sounds like they are replacing the DVD unit underneath the passenger seat with a HDD based device, if this uses the same cables, bingo! If not, it could be an expensive option... Sad RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)

The front seats look better and more comfy. I'm sure they will swap over nicely apart from that the memory controls are now mounted on the doors..

But the leather dash and leather window arm rests you can already get from Overfinch (or elsewhere) if you wish.

The steering wheel is a bit too fussy for me......too many controls on it to get knocked whilst I'm driving.

Like the head lights, but they look slimmer so a no go for retrofit. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Infotainment systems and displays

A new hard-drive navigation system provides faster route calculation and
improved system reliability.

The navigation system adopts an easy-to-use navigation structure which now
also features ‘towards guidance’. This supplements the junction map and
icon-based information with details of the actual road signage viewed by the
driver along the route.

The new Portable Audio Interface allows connectivity to an array of personal
audio storage devices, USB sticks and MP3 players, enabling the various
devices’ functions to be accessed and controlled via the facia-mounted touchscreen
system. One of the connectivity ports is a dedicated Apple i-PodTM
point made exclusively by Land Rover, for continued functionality in extreme
driving conditions, by helping to prevent the device coming loose from the
socket.

A new 5-inch TFT driver information LCD screen is also introduced with the
2010 Range Rover Sport. Sitting within the instrument cluster, the message
centre display ensures key information is communicated in a clean, simple
and user-friendly manner.

we need to know if the new nav software that looks similar to other retail market ones will be available to previous models 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed

Question

Since terrain response is a software actually, is it possible that old models would have the possibility to be upgraded with the new features?

Looking again the pictures I have to say that I prefer the old face Wink 2009 Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 SE, Alaska White, Almond leather, tinted windows, active rear diff, tow pack, HiICE, full spare: gone and already missed

Lemm, will look into the dash interior question, but I don't think I'll get many answers before launch (Sept ish).

For those looking at the SUPERCHARGED, click this link and crank up the volume at 47 secs!

Have to admit that the interior looks quite nice but it's more a Jag than a LR now and I have always found the new Jaguars dash kind of tacky Yawn Yawn Yawn

..and the new LR4 comes with exactly the same dash layout which IMHO is a big mistake. The Disco's days are counted. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

Looks quite different to the RRS dash - the previous models had more similarities.

I think the new interior makes the Disco a more viable alternative for people who need the space but were put off by the previous interior, which was bad. I don't like how it looks though - like a cross between RRS and LR3.
