2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I got my worst ever on the run from CHPR to Gaydon S, 23.9, and yes I did enjoy driving it they way you have to to get it that bad! Embarassed Embarassed What surprised me though was that while getting the mpg to 23.9 there was this black FFRR TDV8 that just creamed passed me - they might be built more like a brick than the RRS, but with so many less kilos to propel along the FFRR can certainly fly when pushed hard. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Tim, in TDv8 mode the FFRR is actually 25kgs heavier than the RRS although they both are quoted at the same 8.6 secs to 60mph (with the Sport quoted at 25.5mpg v the FFRR at 25.4 mpg). And from my recent experience, the RRS feels a good bit quicker, which may simply be due to the fact that you dont need to slow down nearly as much for corners as you do in the FFRR.

Are you sure there isn't something wedged under your accelerator ? Or perhaps the FFRR was chipped ? RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

I'm pretty sure the FFRR wouldn't have been chipped as it was James's drive for the day................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have just passed the 1000 mile mark with our TDV8

The first 700 miles was an equal mix of motorway, A roads and town
Admittedly I was driving like a granny and it delivered 24mpg overall

Today it took 4 of us, a full load of luggage and 4 bikes on the back 300 miles
The journey was approx 20% town/city, 30% A roads and 50% motorway with the cruise set to 80mph to allow for over reading *cough*

I drove it as I drove our previous family snotter, an E46 330d

The RRS delivered 29mpg versus approx 32mpg for the 330d similarly laden which Im fairly happy with
Note the bikes were on the tow bar today not the roof as they have been on my other cars)

Id dread to think what a s/c would have done Big Cry

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

I've had my TDv8 since the end of Jan (new). It's done almost 5k miles in that time.

I probably average about 23-24 mpg. When I've tried reasonably hard the most i've seen on the mpg computer is 28mpg...but that didn't last long.

To be honest, it's in the region I expected it to be and I am pleased with it. 09- 58 plate, brand spanking, RRS TDV8 HSE, Black on black. Really enjoying it so far.
06 - Porsche 911 997 C2S - love it.
59 Plate Audi A6 Avant, 3.0tdi, s-line, le mans quatro. (good replacement for old volvo and bmw).

England

The worst I have got so far was 20.7 mpg over an 80mile journey (Notts to Skegvegas).
Did manage an ave speed of 61.7mph on the journey that was all A roads!

Managed 34mpg on the return route a far slower rate of knotts!

Daz 2017 4.4 Autobiography FFRR - love this car
