The knocking noise affects some cars fitted with dynamic response and is not a 'dangerous' fault or symptomatic of impending failure - it is no different from your engine making a noise when it's working to be honest! I assume you are writing this nonsense from inside some kind of institution whilst wearing a very long armed jacket and having a pencil strapped to your head to enable your keyboard contact Question

With all due respect Another SW, it may not be a "dangerous" fault, but it is irritating and should not be heard on a car costing upwards of £40k, plain and simple. There's a huge difference between hearing the engine and hearing a F Censored g monsterous suspension knock on nothing more challenging than gravel with a few divots.

Balls if I find it reassuring and neither do I want to hear it..........if I wanted to hear suspension knock whilst driving, I would have bought a Lada Riva, then it would have been reassuring to know the wheels were still on Shocked

To whoever is thinking of purchasing new - IMO and if you can stand the agonising wait, I would wait for the heavily reworked DR2 which {apparently} is on the Sep 09 facelift car.......otherwise, come join us, you never know you just might get lucky and you may get a quiet one Twisted Evil L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

well put, i'll give cars credit where credit is due, but when one costs as much as this and is riddled with faults that Land Rover deny that they even exist and they fail to find a solution to, maybe some of the people here how have posted comments havent even read the links that i have posted regarding all the comments from existing owners who are fed up with being given the run around by dealers when things go wrong, of course no car is perfect but when dealers have the attitude of Land Rover thats another thing!

OK, simple solution - if you think they are so bad just don't buy one and go and research all the faults on someone else's car and post it on their forums instead... Or are you a really sad person with nothing better to do than stir up trouble on forums for cars that you have no intention of buying?

By the way, if you think LR are bad, why not spend a bit of time on Porsche forums and see what they have to say about their 30,000 mile cars engines going pop at £12000 a go - with no support from the manufacturer if out of warranty.

Sorry, but some of us love our cars and have found a good dealer to look after them and I for one don't like having my judgement insulted by people who don't even own one saying what a pile of poo they are Evil or Very Mad

Anyway, isn't it a bit early for schools to break up for Easter? Wink

maybe u should learn to read, it was will wonka who said you were wrong and he does own and has owned various cars from Land Rover, i find it amazing that that you have got your knickers in a twist over a hand full of links that i have posted that state that the car has faults, so what you're saying is that no one on this forum should dare question the RRS, wot a shame that you cant take any form of criticism regarding your beloved RRS, at the end of the day its a hunk of metal, as all cars are, just find it sad how some people like you seem to be in love with nuts and bolts.

Are you a girl or boy?

Its so sad to see your tears all over the keyboard as you lament with a heavy heart not owning an RRS. We actually enjoy having people like you to amuse us. We have another pet called Sexy Pauly who is just like you in many ways but although he doesn't own a jet yet, he does at least have an RRS.

Complaints and technical issues are discussed here not to trash the RRS but to exchange views and sometimes to get the attention of LR who are known to skulk here sometimes.

Its simple, if you don't want an RRS, then go and buy something else but please stop boo hooing about a car which you haven't driven extensively (if at all). Your urgent need to protect your family still remains unfulfilled after 2 years of lurking here. If it were my family, I would have acted sooner.

Maybe its sour grapes because you can't afford an RRS? Have you thought about a nice Ssangyong? Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Am I the only one that thinks there is something really sad about someone who trawls through hundreds of threads to find links to faults on a car that they don't even own? Confused
