Looking at buying one of these, seen a few about with mixed reviews, looked at one that was recordable and had 1TB hard drive, can anyone recommend a decent unit.

Cheers, Steve. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Not sure about the name to be honest, all I know is that you can download films and series straight to it, think it's on div ex format, not sure about that though, as far as I can tell its an external hard drive with a remote control, sorry if my description is a little vague Embarassed Speed Limits! not where I live!

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Hey Steve, I have one of these,

http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=653

You attach it to you AV, (tv/amp however your system is set up), and it connects to your network wirelessly and you can stream everything from your pc/mac to it, as your pc acts a server of sorts, to play through your tv/home cimema.

Had it about a year now and is really very good. 2008 RRS S/C, Java Black/Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV, 22" Black/Polish Stormers.

If you want to create your own DVR using your PC then look at a card like ATI TV Wonder HD 650. This works great for TV and Radio even accessing HD channels over an external antenna. Connects to your PC and will record content to your drive, also works with Windows media center. Then also look at Swing Media products for sending TV from your home to other devices...

Now in full Geek mode,

Combine with a Sapphire 4850X2 graphics card and you can run 4 HD monitors if you like, we just set this up at the office... very nice.

Or even better two 56inch monitors (4xHD resolution each ) served by Nvidia Quadro plex 220 d2 graphics we got that too...... sorry now getting carried away Laughing

Geek mode OFF..... Thumbs Up Brit across the Pond Wink
07 TATA (LR) RRS SuperVindaloocharged, Buckingham Blue, Stormers, TPMS, Sunroof, Rear Difflock,PDC front & rear, Privacy, Rear twin DVD, premium ice, mudflaps, premium Ivory leather, lined oak, PTI, Sat Radio.
