OK 2nd suggestion:

Two groups - one starting from the Central Belt - say the Wallace Monument or the Bannockburn Battlefield, both of which have a very large FREE carpark, and another starting from Aberdeen/Inverness and heading south and we meet in the middle at say Perth or House of Bruar which has a restaurant and plenty of parking and a VERY expensive clothes shop (http://www.houseofbruar.com ) or we can head off for a picnic on the shores of Loch Tay, and drive the old military roads (all metalled, no offroading at all) there is also the option to go north from there to Dalwhinnie and drive the Spey ford near Laggan and go to visit a certain historic military monument Whistle

I'm open to suggestions but whatever we do it will involve a lot of driving whichever direction you are coming from.

Dates - How would the first Sunday in August - 2nd Aug, which is also a public holiday in Scotland, suit folks? I am free any weekend from mid July until mid September at the moment. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

England

It's been so long since my last logon on the Dark Side I had to PM Martin to check if my account was still active as I couldn't login.

Nope, wasn't the case - I just couldn't type my password properly Embarassed

I might finally get to meet a few of the real northern contigent, not just the Welsh imigrant Whistle. Was planning a trip up August/September ish anyway, so this'll be a good excuse Thumbs Up

(Tim - to avoid confusion, I'm asking Martin to change my logon from Disconutter to MrH at some point to match the Disco3 site)

Just spotted option 2 and that gets my vote too.

Date depending I could maybe combine it with either our upward or homeward leg of the journey Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Scotland is on Mrs TB's shortlist of possible holiday destinations for July/August, so I could be a possible for this event. Thumbs Up

I quite fancy the idea of "hooning", Embarassed I mean touring around the highways and byways of Scotland. Confused Very Happy Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
