Sat Nav Master Reset - now I only get Germany!!

OK - so I have read the manual and still can't get my sat nav to work - I pressed the reset default settings button during a mad moment and now when I put in any address or postcode it only gives me options for germany (I think). Try putting in any postcode for example and you have tp start with a number - bummer!

So - surely one of you guys out there knows the simple answer to this??? Please tell me I don't have to take it in to the dealer!

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

It sounds like the GPS receiver has also reset back to a position of 0north and 0 east/west. Leave the system running for 5-10 minutes and I think you might find that it will acquire the satellites again and decide that you are back in the UK and give you the right postcodes. This is the same if you use some older hand held GPS units when they have been switched off for a while. If you haven't got a position after 20 minutes than I think you will have to get out the user manual or visit a dealer.

United Kingdom

From the [Destination] screen press the button underneath the Map (which will actually probably have Belgium highlighted rather than Germany), can't recall whether the button says [Change] or something else? Here you go - found pictures!

Then select UK from the list of countries and you're away...

once you store your destinations it will navigate you cross border with no problems, I hear "Welcome to the Netherlands" and "Welcome to Belgium" a lot as I live quite close to the border.
When in Zeeland last summer driving along one road I must have "crossed the border" about 10 or 12 times in a few hundred meters and the road was straight Shocked Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

This is now sorted - many thanks to one and all - I had never noticed that little map before. In addition to sorting my problem I have identified loads of additional functionality to the sat nav that I will now use - (after 18 months ownership...I must read that manual!!)

Cheers
