In my experience.....

With kids... Go to Atlantis.... V big hotel, everything is there. No need to leave.
- Kids club for kids over 4. A teen club (no adults or kids) and a real nightclub (for adults).
Good pools etc etc and the water park is ace (especially for small kids as there is an area for those less than 1.2m).

For a mix of kids and nice hotel. One and Only. Stay in the Residence if you have no kids and a big cheque book. Ritz is also great and the malls has just opened behind (starbucks etc is there).

Al Qasr is also great (big pool).
- Madinat has a small pool but is also v good.

You can't go wrong at any of the above, so stay where the best room rate is for the type you are after.
- But none I consider cheap. 2022 P440e AB

2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver

Just got back from 5 nights at the hilton jumeirah. Would thoroughly recomend it to anyone. Level of service is superb, the hotel is small by dubai standards so you dont feel lost in the place. Nice beach, nice beach bar, on the JBR walk so interesting cars to watch in the evening. Ideal really!

We booked in the standard room through BA holidays, got upgraded to a suite on arrival. Not convinced I would pay for the exec level myself though. Breakfast buffet downstairs is fine, and the bar you want to be in for sunset is the sky bar anyway...

My two cents:

Jumeirah Beach Resort is over-priced and you never feel special enough there. Too many guests (from my experience 99% British!), so you're always just another number. Yes, the facilities are good (beach, free access to Wild Wadi Waterpark next door etc.), but not my cup of tea.

I prefer the Westin on Mina Seyahi, which is slightly quieter and has larger rooms.

As a wild card, check out the Radisson SAS in Media City (right next to Jumeirah). Its basically a 4* plus and you get much larger rooms (with excellent amenities) and pay much less compared to the usual suspects. It is however a business hotel.
Also check out Le Royal Meridian Beach Resort in Dubai Marina, which has a lovely lounge bar on the beach.

Happy hunting! Thumbs Up

Residence at Royal Mirage is probably one of the nicest, and agree with Paul, def one of the best, but still think Al Qasr is great - view from Atlantis not great though.....
