phone cradles

Does anyone know what (nokia) phone cradles are available for the RRS? I mean the ones that clip on under the cubby box lid. Is there a list of supported phones somewhere? I'm looking for a cradle for a nokia E51 and understand its not yet supported but will be soon? is that right, and is there a development list/planned supported list of current phones that land rover are going to support and provide cradles for with some idea of delivery dates?
Are they still making these for 08 or 09 RRS models (mine is 07) and installing phone prewiring options or is that gone - have read a few threads on here suggesting newer models don't have phone wiring and cradles if I read right. Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

After 08.5MY the phone cradle was dropped from the spec - I doubt if you will find a cradle to fit any of the more recent Nokias you have to make do with the Bluetooth and a Halfords 2/6 cigarette lighter charger to stop your phone battery from going flat 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I got my omnia a nice cradle from: http://www.dsldevelopments.com/

They seem to have the following options (and more) for your E51

Brodit Nokia E51 Passive Holder Tilt Swivel

Brodit Nokia E51 Active Holder Tilt Swivel

Brodit Nokia E51 Holder for Cable Attachment

You can then use the following locations to mount it:

I have this one, Brodit ProClip for Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2007

Andrew, pre 2008.5MY RRSs have a very neat wired cradle under the lid of the centre cubby box (it was an option on cars below HSE spec IIRC). Hides you phone and connects it to the PTi and also charges the phone. Unfortunately you cannot hook your phone straight into it but need a special "adapter cradle" to make it fit. It gives full connectivity to the addressbook and is totally handsfree utilising the in-car PTi. Also as it was a Nokia unit like the Bluetooth, the majority of phones that fitted were Nokias! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Andrew thanks for the info - might go with one of those if my plan-B below doesn't work out, but as Tim said I was originally looking for an under cubby box lid cradle which appears not to exist for an E51. Good thing about the cradle was it connects the external antenna and power to the phone which bluetooth does not.

However, have made some progress and have a Plan-B which maybe someone can help with. I've paired my E51 over bluetooth and works ok, but now want to charge it without dangling cables all over the place. Given that the PTI cable is there and must have 12v supply going to it, it should be possible to splice a 12v lighter socket onto it and plug a nokia car charger into that and into my phone, all below cubby box lid - shouldn't it? I can get the parts I need easily apart from a wiring diagram of the PTI cable - does anyone have one or am I mad? Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

ok, so I'm not mad then - thats reassuring Smile . So now all I need to get started is a wiring diagram for the PTI connector under the cubby box lid and I can do the rest - anybody out there got one? Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

Had another idea - what I need is a 12v socket inside the lid of the cubby box. So given there is one at the back of the cubby box already, all I need to do is connect a second 12v extension socket onto the power terminals at the back of that socket and run the cable up into the lid of the cubby box where I can plug a charger into a new 12v socket. Its a lot simpler, but no aerial connection. But charger power inside cubby box and no cables dangling around which will do fine for me. Does anyone know how to take the cubby box apart to get at the back of the rear facing power socket? Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black
