I drive now with my LEDs on all the time so will consider getting the dealer to enable the daytime running lights. The issue I have with using the auto-on function is that I feel that on 99% of cars that have it the sensor leaves it until it is too dark before switching on the lights, I would prefer them to come on much sooner, I think it is also why so many drivers seem to not use their lights in driving rain - the sensor hasn't considered it dark enough which is bad news in silver and grey cars as they become quite difficult to see. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

On my previous car the E280 you could set up the lights to come on automatically when you started the engine, would like to see that option on the next upgrade to the RRS. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

ChrisP, the option is there just need the dealer to activate it, takes them 5mins. Turn the ignition on and lights are on..... FYI also activates the light washers which is a if you just have a nice dry polished car, but swich to side lights then use the squirters Brit across the Pond
