Yes, I did mean better fuel consumption not more economical. That said, if you reduce the unsprung weight of the RRS by 300-400 kg - which I do not believe is beyond the bounds of possibility given how much heavier the smaller RRS is than the larger RR - you will get a meaningful improvement in fuel economy. Add a diesel V8 option and even a hybrid drive option - both of which are in the pipeline - then, yes, you really could have a more economical model.
I too would love to see a 2-door Stormer with a V-12 and stonking off-road performance. What a car that would be!

Personally I see no need for a car with 7 seats that won't fit into a parking space.
In actual fact I think those 7 seat 4x4's will cause us all alot of grief purely because of their size and the fact that 70% of the time they only have one or 2 occupants. I bet the extra 2 seats hardly ever get used. Just more weight to lug around.
That why for me the RRS is better than the RR. Compact but still very comfortable and practical.TDV6 - gone
