Moving to the agricultural side...selling my RRS

I'm very sad to say that I have decided to swap my RRS for a 1yr old Disco3. Currently the RRS is our family car and I drive a VW T5 van. The Disco3 is just about large enough to use as a van so I've decided to sell the van. However, I could not afford to keep the RRS and a Disco3, so I’ve got to sell both vehicles. I'm getting the Disco3 and we'll get a more suitable 'fun' (like a cabriolet) car for the wife for the school runs etc.
I would be very sorry to see the RRS go, but it isn't practical enough to use for my work. The plan is to use the Disco3 for work, but then make a removable frame (that keeps stackable boxes up to the ceiling) that could be easily removed, so I can turn it back to a seven seater when we need it at weekends, so it can still remain our main family car.
Our RRS is now almost a year old and had it's first service this week. I plan to swap it for a Disco3 HSE auto of the same age and mileage, but benefit from the extra goodies...which might help my grieving for the RRS! Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

I am a little reluctant too of what I'm letting myself in for. The Disco3 seems to have suffered many more problems than the RRS has.
Anyway, at least I'll still be in LR and it will allow me to do more fun days as I wont be taking the car of my my family! Matt
