As we talk.... my car has now gone into build & the dealer is expecting the car physical by end of next week or poss early week after.

And here was me thinking it would be October... Great news though,only a few more days on Shank's Pony

MDP when did you order the car?

I have a receipt for my £1000 deposit dated 11/6/05..... although the request for the car went in earlier as was ordered by the dealership for the dealership. I was lucky enough to have still had enough time to change the already ordered colour from silver to Black! and add privacy glass.

Just hope it turns up as ordered/spec'd by me

Not a bad wait/time.... as been away a lot over summer ... but these next few days will seem like months.............................

Thats great news for you "BlackBeast" there is a slim chance that mine could arrive around that date ... but being realistic I think it will be the following weekend by the time it is ready for collection.

I ordered mine at the begining of august, i guess i still have a long time. I going to need to take some vacations to take my mind off of it.

Dealer tel me today to inform me that the car had now been issued a chassis number....

Hopes now rely on LR to finish build & get car to dealer ASAP

Could I be driving it next weekend ....... hope so.

Seems like you and I have a race on to see who gets theirs first! My dealer told me it arrived with them yesterday - they can't get it into PDI until Tuesday unfortunately, but it will arrive at my house on a shiny low-loader before next weekend!! No surprise as to what I'll be doing next weekend!!

are you guys calling your dealers to find out about the car or are they calling you? Just wondering because my dealer has yet to call me once on an update, but that could be because its only been about a month since i ordered it.

For me, it's a mixture of both. My dealer rang me today to tell me that my car had arrived at the dealer's yesterday (why he didn't ring me to tell me yesterday I don't know!). Other times I've rung him. In fairness, he's been pretty good as car dealers go. That said, it's been a short-term relationship as I didn't know I was getting the car before last week...

Again, in fairness I must point out that I know my dealer very well ( kids at same school & parents had many cars ) so perhaps a little unfair? Having said that I live/work within a couple of miles of the dealership.

My car hasn't arrived at the dealer yet... On Friday as soon as the car was allotted the chassis number we were able to order the V55 from the factory, then we have to rely on our local DVLA to do their bit in registering my numberplate to the car ( retention certificate to hand ). But most of all the car itself has to arrive. Apparently the car goes from factory to Gayden before it arrives at the dealer. So I'm hoping for the end of this week.

Dealer tel me & car now at DEPOT, so is hopeful of car getting to dealership this week, just need V55 to turn up on time & DVLA to be efficient for once.
HHhhhmmmm.... seems like a lot of ifs and buts?
