Bulgaria 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Nav-TV video in motion

Two weeks ago I buy and install this VIMCANROV-LR which is www.nav-tv.co.uk "Video In Motion" Interface CAN for Land Rover Discovery 3 / Range Rover Sport (MOST) system (http://www.nav-tv.co.uk/products/vimcanrov-lr?car=133).
Today I found that on NAV screen the mode of gear box is always on "N". When I change to D, or R on navigation screen always show "N". Is this normal or I have problem with nav.tv interface?

My car is Range Rover Sport 2006 2.7 TD, HSE, RSE, winter pack

Thank you in advance.

Is this how the unit works, by fooling the car into thinking it's always in neutral? A D3 not in drag....

If you have the active Nav-TV hack, that's normal. The module does indeed trick the electronics into thinking the car is in neutral all the time, and the trick spills over on the 4x4 Info screen. Other than the "N" displaying at all times, no harm done. The remaining sensors still indicate what TR mode you are in, if you are in Hi or Low, HDC, lockers, compass, suspension and steering angle graphics all work, etc.

Every time I see that "Navigation on the move enhancement" bulletin I get royally pi Censored d as it's still not available to us in North America, and it most likely never will be, no doubt thanks to our litigious society. Big Cry Nevertheless, I believe that modification would do nothing to correct the Nav-TV induced issue above, since the satnav uses different signals (a combination of wheel speed sensors and GPS communication) than the RSE/video system hacked via the Nav-TV module, to determine if the car is moving or not.
