Brembo Brake Question

Had a look at a v6 57 Range Rover this morning and noticed it didn't have Brembo brakes. I thought they where standard on all Range Rovers 07 onwards or where they still an extra.

Depends which spec S, SE or HSE. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I think that Brembos were optional on the V6 as part of the Dynamic or Sports Pack, the only cars with them as standard were/are the TDv8 and the S/C. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

OK - in the 2007MY (as of October 2006) the TDv6 had Brembos as standard, but ran with 19" wheels out of the factory,

Dynamic Pack was on S and SE variants and included
S- Dynamic Response, 20" 10 spoke alloys, Brembos and BiXenon Adaptive Headlights = £5045 extra

On The SE - Dynamic Response,20" wheels, Brembos and Adaptive BiXenons = £3250 (cos SE already had BiXenons but no adaptive as astandard)

Bear mind that although the car might have been registered in 2007 it could still be a 2006MY spec run out stock sold at discount - my TDv8 is 2008MY sold after 2008.5MY had started, registered in October 2007. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim for clearing that up. A bit odd then that a 57 HSE doesn't have Brembo's.......

Not really - 57 plate could be an 06MY that has been hiding at the back of a dealers compound or in the LR main storage area. The other thing to check is that it isn't a personal import - Specs on imported cars can be very different to UK specs 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yep...I had an 06 plated TDV6 which was one of the first with the dynamic pack which was an optional extra for a factory build. Very few people paided the extra so there will be quite a few out there without the dynamic pack and brembos.

Then they had a run where it was standard on the HSE. And then back to being an option. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
