Is it time to think of another autumn RRS Jaunt?

In view of the success of the CHPR/Ace Cafe meet would anybody be interested in doing something similar again this year? I would be thinking of late August or early September for this.

Suggestions:-
An RRS visit to an LRE to get those who haven't been offroad to have a go - I can recommend the Dunkeld LRE for this if you combine it with a touring holiday in Scotland
A group trip to the Home of the Legend at Solihull - unfortunately these are Monday to Friday only
A weekend exploring the greenlanes in the Lake district (seeing as even RRS owners are not exempt from the credit crunch and may not be looking to go overseas for a holiday this year!)
A repeat trip to the Ace Cafe? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I’d certainly be well up for another meet Tim Thumbs Up

Mrs Rupert & I thoroughly enjoyed the meet last August, even if the cruise down the motorways turned into more of a chase Shocked Laughing

In fact only a few weeks ago were wondering if perhaps there would be another this year, as we looked at our travel plans for the summer.

The LRE or Home of the Legend would be absolutely fab, as would a visit to AM.

The Ace Café was a good venue, but I wonder if it’s a case of been there done that. But not being familiar with places set up to host a group of “yahoos” in RRS’s I can’t suggest any alternatives.

But you could certainly count us in as being “Very Interested” in making the trip over to the UK again Thumbs Up Cool

There is the small problem of LRE's and Home of the Legend - they charge! Whereas Ace Cafe was free! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

They may well not be for him, plus the game is on the Sunday and the meet is the Saturday? I'm in London for the whole weekend.

North as in Inverness? That's North from here, everywhere down near you is SOUTH Ash.
Skibo Castle has it's own private LRE that only has FFRR's for the hotel guests!
