Forest Hill is in the suburbs, not country Victoria, and fortunately the fire has not come to the outer suburbs of Melbourne which are a lot more heavily populated that the areas affected so far. |

Absolute disaster over there. It's hot enough here but another 10 degrees C on top of this must be horrendous together with the fires!!!

Glad to hear you are away from the danger zone. They interviewed a guy on the TV last night who managed to escape, a tree came down just behind him, he had a java black Sport, which looked pretty battered..Not sure if he was known to anyone on here, i cannot remember the channel it was on.. I think what staggers me the most apart from all the damage and the deaths so far is that some of these fires may have been started deliberately.
