New A3 cameras....

Any of the Surrey/Hants folks know what the new cameras going up on the A3 are? I think they're traffic as opposed to speed (sorry, safety) cameras but just wondered if anyone knew for sure. There's a set of new poles going up from Ripley services all the way down to Guildford and beyond. Some poles are still empty but they are slowly having cameras appear on top of them...

There is a possibility that these could be the traffic flow things (Trafficmaster and alike). Unlikely, as these don't generate dosh for Big Brother (Not the crap TV programme!) Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Want to borrow some kambo tools VA?

Did anyone ever see that TG episode, when JC used a full fat RR to pull down a speed camera.. brilliant..

Im still tempted to go and spray paint a swear word on that tree thats in front of the camera that got my dads car.. but it will make the area look bad, and that effects property prices!! not good for me or anyone in the hood..

Talking of A3 cameras - I read the other day that the camera that is just before the A243 where the limit goes from 70mph to 50mph is the more profitable (Sorry effective) camera in the UK. What amazes me is that I've seen more crashes here within 50 feet of it than any other stretch of road that I travel. Lucky it's there then otherwise there would be thousands of accidents! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
