About 8 inches of snow on the roof of the Range this morning, with loads of cars off the road stuck in snow and skidding everywhere.....made it to the office with ease - first ever time used the Snow setting on the yellow dial! Thumbs Up

Got to work here high up in The Derbyshire Dales in Hathersage no problem thanks to our wonderful Dales Council and gritting teams out all night and despite about 2" of snow and worsening all the roads were clear.
Seems to me that in London old Boris might be in for some stick as there seems to be a complete lack of salt and vehicles, looking at the GMTV news this morning one of the presenters was in the car for 3 hours and never saw a gritter !!!
Looking forward to the journey home as it seems to be getting worse by the minute. Very Happy
p.s.
Has anyone else noticed how some of the female news presenters don't seem to have a clue how deep 7" actually is,wonder why Wink MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I got in to work....from Bakewell to Doncaster. Got the roundabout right in front of the office and hit black ice. Moumted the pavement before crashing into the security fencing around the building. Big Cry Big Cry

Front bupmer took all the impact remarkably well, just a puncture wound and scrapes

Fortunately my step son does bodywork so it'll be going in to be patched up and re-sprayed. Thumbs Up

Anyone know of a 4wd specialist in Doncaster. Need to get the alignment checked as the front wheels took quite a bash on the curb. Could take it to Audi but they're always keen to charge an arm and a leg for it. Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

Another weather warning in force for his afternoon - another 5-8 inches they predict. Remember everyone to check the flues on your central heating systems outside - if they get blocked with snow, no air will get to the bolier and will switch off automatically......I experienced the very thing this morning! Can't imagine what a heating engineer would have charged me to sort it out!
