2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Copying/commenting from/on previous suggestions:

Powerfold mirrors that fold when you lock the car or engage park in the gear box – lock yes, but not engage park imo

"waterfall" effect lighting yet - it's standard on all RRS's now … what’s this??

Full powered tailgate lift and close from the remote, not just the soft close, also I'm getting p*ssed of getting dirty hands every time I open/close the tailgate at this time of the year – you do know about the grab handle ‘inside’ the boot where its not dirty, right?

Ability to disengage the ACC and make it into conventional Cruise – under what circumstance would this be beneficial (altho I do think they should de-sensitive the ACC a little, and tell you the distances in ft)?

A better set of driving lights – I’m quite a fan of the adaptive bi-xenon’s!

Sat Nav similar to whats in a Range Rover – we need integrated speed camera alerts too!!

Rear parcel shelf like P38 RR – I’d like one like in the Merc estates (basically the blind style, but it auto retracts when you open the boot). If they made the blind more rigid, like the one on a Mitsu L200 then you could rest stuff on top of it.

BMW style working Bluetooth – my phone (SE k850i) works *exactly* like it does in the new X5??

Constant power to 12v power sockets – very easy to hack but yes it should be standard/selectable too

Agree with:

Proper lighting in the rear passenger compartment of the car

Remote control timer for the FBH so you can get into a toasty warm RRS on cold mornings

On lock, automatic fold of the mirrors, close of the sunroof and windows

Programmable suspension lowering on key fob without having the hazard lights on.

On/off switch for sat nav screen rather than way done at present.

A more secure mounting for the spare wheel

Foot well lighting - inc mood lighting when driving

Sunglasses holder

Orange reflectors removed from headlights and sides

Tailpipe options

Advanced lane change system

Better quality leather and contrasting piping

Driver selectable traction control

Lockable front diff + optional manual lock up of rear diff

And my own:

Heads Up Display (HUD) like in the new X5 projecting the speed onto the windscreen.. don’t mock it till you’ve seen it… very useful… except LR could go one better and project the rev counter too

The lock/unlock switch should illuminate to show you which is selected

Better glovebox lighting

Better cup holders

BMW style reverse/front parking radar that displays on the sat nav screen… so useful!! And surely cheaper than a reversing cam?

Tints (30%) for the front windows

Fit tracker units at the factory (just spent 5 hours doing mine properly!) - appreciate this may not be required by 90% of owners, so have it as an 'option'

Keyless entry

Real-time MPG display

RRSBoy, WHAT, you haven't noticed the waterfall effect lighting.............................. don't worry I would imagine that 99.9% of owners haven't noticed it either.
Here goes - in the front edge of the front lighting cluster on the roof there is a small black square plastic moulding. Recessed up inside this is a tiny downlighter. Switch on the headlights and if you put you hand up very close to the black square and you will see a purple/blue light. At night it illuminates something but is so sublte that I have never (and I'm on my 2nd RRS with it) found out what but I think it is meant for you to be able to see your stoggie burning in the ashtray. Must be about the most useless light on the car.
Here's a pic of it

I think the small/ tiny dot on the rear view mirror glass is the sensor that causes the mirror to dip, it might also cause the satnav screen to dim as well and possibly it's what activates the automatic switching on of the headlights. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Voice command do away with or make it work.

Goodness me they had a Fiesta on 5th Gear last night and it worked far better than I have ever had on the RRS.

Go with most of the other suggestions, but would like to see different illumination on interior dials, I'm just fed up with boring green

what year is yours? i dont understand - the factory fit bluetooth kit on my 57 plate is simply amazing. picks up the phone (and drops it when you leave the vehicle), downloads contacts, address book, recent dialled/received calls... you can dial numbers direct from the radio keypad - easy to link (code is 2121) and control from the knob/steering wheel buttons
