Ant, my TDV6 had awful grating wipers all the time but I believe there was a redesign or rubber formulation change and the TDv8 has never had the problem up till now. I thought it might be the cold weather we are having here but today the outside gauge showed +6C and I only ever had the grating on the v8 below +4 so I assume the blades are failing. Will take a look on Fleabay and see what I find 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Crumbs KLM those are more expensive than buying an LR branded set from a Landie Dealer's part dept! I bought a set of LR official blades today as the grating is just getting unbearable - cost me £25-84. I notice that on the label it says the LR ones are Made in Mexico |

yeah but I bought a new LR set when I had first service and they have lasted about 500 miles max, so I'm willing to give these a go, surely they can't be worse than the LR ones, two sets in a year |

A whole 5000 miles, huh? I'd have to get a new set of blades every 2 months... ![]() |

Phenomenal mileage there on the wipers - only 5000 miles per set of blades...wow!

And in the last few weeks many many days and nights with negative air temperatures and heavy frosts which freeze your blades to the screen. Today the daytime temperature just made it into positive numbers +0.5C and now at 17:30 it is freezing hard again.

i replaced mine before xmas, i used the standard bosch wipers 22inch and use the existing plastic clip (if you want them noticable get the 22 inches with the spoiler cost more but a lot cooler) and you can get them in halfords and they are alot better than the rr tpye.
