i guess the prob with mine could be the salty air. i live about 300 metres from the sea and the car is regularly covered in salt parked on my drive. il have a look at them when my car comes back. is there anyway of telling what type ive got?

Maybe try getting a set from a dealer further towards the Home Counties who is selling the new ones and not the old stock of squeaky ones Rolling with laughter

On a serious note this was a problem on my old sport but has not been an issue since LR modified the blades.
If not I was told a set of RainX ones from eBay USA (don't think they are on sale here yet but I could be wrong) would be silent. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Mine's an 08, no drags, squeeks or smears.

I have a look when I'm next out to see what wipers they are, they came with the car, from the factory. 2008 RRS S/C, Java Black/Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV, 22" Black/Polish Stormers.

The modified wiper came out a long time ago, probably a couple of years back so I wouldn't expect that to be in the mind of your average service advisor.

2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Big Cry The D3 had the same problem. When I got my RRS same noise from the wipers my dealer fitted new ones which he told me were different from the original batches delivered to landrover as they were known to have noise issues. Yes they were fitted to my D3 and RRS free of charge by my dealer Thumbs Up
