LR/Jag job cuts 14/1/2008

I just heard that Jaguar Land Rover is to cut 450 jobs, 300 in management.

Yet another statement that affirms that it takes something such as the current CC before companies realise - there are too many chiefs. Confused Rolling Eyes L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Don't forget that this is the third round of job cuts at Jaguar/Land Rover. 600 people have already volunteered to take redundancy and 850 agency workers were finished just before Christmas.

Add to this the three hundred employees that are currently laid off on 80% of their basic pay and you can begin see how serious all this is becoming. Sad Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

And I still don't understand why Landrover and Jaguar can have serious problems: They produce cars which use parts that already exist in the company, they have hardly any development cost since they produce their cars veeery long (and then develop a very similar one, sometimes based on an already existing car), and their cars have been sold like free beer for the last two years, I just can't understand how a company like this can have problems now.
Their management must be full of incompetent jerks. Maybe they should lend some managers from Porsche for a few months. Rolling Eyes (Please, not the head of the design department! I wish it was as simple as that Jase Sad

When Land Rover were selling lots of cars and making lots of profit, Ford were still in charge and they were loosing money hand over fist in America. Guess where all of the profits were going?

Now that both Land Rover and Jaguar stables have a good line up of vehicles and the potential to make lots of money the @rse has fallen out of the market and no one is buying anything. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE.
