Bowler Nemesis?

I was watching the daily Dakar 2009 coverage and came across one of those:

Looks cool... What's exactly? And why Land Rover has no official teams? Credit crunch?

Yup, Bowler Nemesis. I think there are 2 or 3 and a few Wildcats too, but being well beaten by the VWs, BMWs, Mitsubishis etc.

I don't know how a stock Land Rover would cope, but the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series in production class is doing very well. I know of one crew who have entered with an old 2-door RangeRover classic Thumbs Up

I was thinking about a dedicated Range Rover Dakar model, like Volkswagen did with the Touareg...
Anyway, this is the classic Range you were saying, driven by a french team! Wink

Go guys!

£98.000 pounds and you can have one too.

Short feature on these on Fifth Gear this week, sounded as good as it looks.

Are they allowed for normal road use? Thanks to our current Euro-Pound exchange-rates this almost is an affordable car to buy... Mr. Green RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

If the exchange rate Pound to Euro continues what it has done for the last 6 months, I think it may be possible that I trade my RRS in for a Bowler Wildcat this summer!
