Hi everyone , about this knocking from the front , i have a TDV8 Overfinch , and upto about 10 days ago it was perfect , it is about 6 months old done 6k.

Then a knocking appeared from the front sus , done some investigating on site , took it to dealer , suggested it could be the anti roll bar stirrup bushes , Landrover have now modified the bushes with like spacers.

They where replaced on my car today , and noise has gone , my dealer says that they are doing about one of these jobs per day , so if in doubt get it in to the dealer.

Good luck[/b]

Well, I took my car to the local stealer this morning re knocking suspension and levelling problems. Collected the loan Freelander.

Got a phone call about 4pm telling me everything had been sorted and was ready for collection.

The service guy told me the Anti Roll bushes had been replaced by new modified ones that had a nylon spacer, and the air suspension had been calibrated to stop it looking like it was going to topple over when on access level.

I've got nothing but good things to say about this particular dealer, giving the fact that SO many people complain about the knocking issue. I booked the car in on the Mon to have it looked at on the Thurs and by the evening everything was sorted.

I drove it home hitting every pot hole without any noise. The car now sits as it should and it bang free.

Only time will tell if this is a permanent fix, but as far as dealers go I haven't got a bad word to say.

Hopefully case closed

Nuff said.

Fantastic - thats probably the nearest dealer to me as I live in Broxton so its good to hear their service team is more attentive than the sales team. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award
