NEW RRS

Hi there - just joined - seems like found the right place finally!

I'm hearing that some dealers on the continent are stuck with RHD RRS's and are prepared to heavily discount them - looking to buy one for the first time - can someone guide me in the right direction?

Hi Mikey and welcome on board.

I am not sure about EU Dealers and RH models but I am sure someone on here can help you. I would guess though that, with the current exchange rate, buying abroad may not be a favourable option. This is only my assumption though. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

Do a search on autotrader and you will find a UK dealer that is doing the HSE for £39k, this is a new car that has been to Cyprus and back. I never managed to find a cheaper new car.

Agreed the exchange rate is not at all favourable but seems some dealers are really stuck with them and TDV8's are available at silly money!

There are new TDV8 imports being advertised by dealers who have imported them from EU and selling around 40k on autotrader including their profit so i assume one can be brought in for around 37k ??

Forget it!

You will never find a cheap RRS on the continent, their price is about 30/40% more than in the UK.
I would be extremely surprised if you even find 1 single RHD lying in stock in continental Europe.
Most if not all the imported ones are special order and sold in advance.

Yep, unfortunately he is right. With the amount of money I paid for my 2 year-old RRS TDV6 (LHD) in Germany I could easily buy a new TDV6 or a one-year-old TDV8 (RHD) in Britain.

Surely I wouldn't have done that if the cars were cheaper as new ones over here...

Just across the pond here in Ireland a new TDV6 HSE will cost you €95k, as a matter of interest what is the uk price ?
