'Desirable' options are mostly down to taste and personal preference. LR OE side steps and tints are probably the most desirable. I may be wrong, but wasn't adaptive cruise and e-diff std on S/C model? With the S/C, the best option is probably shares in Shell or BP! If the car is for normal family driving the standard HSE will be fine. Extras that make the car look good are factory fitted tints and side steps. I have the dvd system and it's great for the kids but you v=can not watch anything in the front when driving - a pain for the passenger but this can be modified but costs a bit. If you need a lot of boot space the RRS will let you down a bit but if you use the boot area to transport a dog then you should be able to fit 2 labrador size ones in the back.
