It’s very rarely noticeable as you tend to naturally focus beyond it.

Mav, many years ago I used to call in Avonmouth but these days my ship doesn't even come back to the UK. I trade between Hong Kong,Yantian, Shanghai,Kwangyang, Balboa(Panama Canal), Manzanillo (other end of the canal), Cartagena (Colombia), Kingston Jamaica, Cartagena, Manzanillo, Yokohama (Japan), Kobe and back to Hong Kong - it takes 8 weeks for a round trip. The ship's I drive are too long to get into Portbury's locks. In the UK we use Southampton and Felixstowe if we come to the UK.

One thing I have noticed is if the heater is on at night I do get some very weird effects with the headlights of oncoming cars. I also wear glasses when driving which might have some bearing on the matter. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Most noticable at night, where you can get a little bit of refraction ( )

Likewise... sometimes you get to see it in the headlights of oncoming cars at night, but during the day it's invisible (well, to me anyway).

The reason it hasn't changed is, I suspect, because it is the thin film of mildly heated air in the outside of the screen that is causing the distortion and not the glass itself. Its i similar effect to that seen above a warm road surface i.e. heat haze. Paul |

Clever clogs! But this doesn't necessarily happen when the heated screen is turned on...
