Jan is best for me. If before 20th then will have mum with me (visiting from UK) so will need two rooms at wherever.

25th is Australia day, and am not sure if VIC government will be awarding a publich holiday in lieau of it being a Sunday, but no doudt that weekend will be busy anyhow.

Probably 10th and 11th would be best for me as a stab at this stage.

Zilchy

You will have to count me out I'm afraid. Firstly, Jan and Feb are chocked with visitors from the UK and USA as well as work travel commitments (Oct to Feb are my really busy months) making it really difficult to spring two or three consecutive days to drive 2000km+

Secondly, I don't really do the off road thing as I have explained before.

A day's cruise around the wineries on the Mornington Peninsula would be welcome anytime and I would enjoy meeting up with you guys.

Hi all, the weekend of the 10/11th is ok with us. Is this likely to be a camping weekend or Novotel Lake Crackenback type weekend?

WD is kindly looking at lodges and other options for accommodation. So far i have dug out the following

http://www.horizonsresort.com.au/ or http://www.lakecrackenback.com.au/

There is a significant difference in price..

I am assuming 8 Adults and 5 rooms at the moment for either, however 2nd, the Lake Crackenback as 2 bed apartments.

Crackenback is more geared towards weekend packages, i will call them tomorrow and see what deal they will do.

Any preferences ??

Yes would need two rooms or two room apartment cheers Zilch... Thumbs Up

I'm not really fussed about all of that spa stuff tbh so happy to go for the cheaper option, but then I don't have a SHWBO like you guys do!

Do we have a view for what 'activities' are happening.. Is it just drive up for a meet and dinner, or are there wineries around, or any tracks worth getting the RRS's onto or something else??? Smile

2nd not a problem, WD is working on an alternative venue which he recommends, his contacts are back next week and he will firm this up for us .. http://www.snowholidays.com.au/Aalberg_Chalet_Jindabyne.html

WD will work out an itinerary for us, assume we are up for a few days driving ? or do we wish to split it. A days off-road and a days sight seeing, i assume we have a few weeks to work with WD and Grant on this
