The show was prerecorded, so it should be the producer who gets his marching orders for bad judgement. I see Brand has resigned from his show, which I think is a shame. I'm not a big Ross fan either, I wish he would shutup every now and again too... but Brand I do like, I think he's funny. His R2 show on Sat nights always makes me laugh

Apparently the DG has come back off his hols early to have a special meeting with the BBC Trust today.... what a waste of time. I can agree with why Manuel is a bit upset over it, but I cannot fathom why it's become the lead item on the news for the past 3 days

I like both of themand think its all ridiculous. they apologised and that should be the end of it.

I HATE it when things like this get blown up out of all proportion and then everyone takes to the moral high ground and complains when initially they had no intention of complaining.

Brand and Ross are both live wires, but that's why I find them both funny and entertaining but that's just IMHO.

I thought Andrew Sachs had accepted there apology, he was quoted as saying

Just goes to show how the press can make a mountain out of a molehill, now over 17,000 complaints

Lets not forget this show went out on the 18th of Septmeber so why has it took nearly 6 weeks for it to be a big deal? Sounds like the media are getting desperate

I don't see what why the time frame has anything to with with this. If something is wrong, it was wrong and people have a right to express their disgust. Without sounding like an old git it come down to the ever decreasing moral standards in life and sometimes we need to check ourselves and make take a stand.
