What to expect in repairs after 100K km's

Was wondering how many KM's everyone has and how much you have spent on repairs? I'm a newbie looking for my RRS and do have a LR Disco II in the family of vehicle. I have recently found a good deal on a '06 RRS with 95,000km's on it and maybe interested in the vehicle. High km's but is priced right and was wondering what to expect in repairs. Please post your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, we don't get TD in Canada, just the V8 and the Supercharged V8 only.

Here's a link to the vehicle located in Canada.
Check it out and post some feedback please. I'm ready to purchase something soon:)

If it's got a good trouble free history and serviced on time, it should be ok. Most RRSs are still under warranty so that takes care of repair costs. How long is the warranty for in Canada?

Service items like oil etc are the normal price - same as any other car. Tyres are expensive, so bear that in mind if it has worn tyres.

Looks pretty smart from the pics.
If a 2006 model should still have some warranty left evnen if a couple of months.

regardless of milage would check to see if a full service history and main dealer is all ok. Main dealer should be able to check vehicle history with reg or vin number, also see if it has had much warratny work done which can be good indicator as well. Landrover either seem to make good ones or dogs with not much inbetween.

Vehicle history is fine, no accidents to report. Tires are in excellent shape, 90% left. I am getting all service records when I go back. Warranty ended at 80K kms so no warranty from dealer.

Full service history has been ordered. We'll see what comes up. For all the miles on it, the body and interior look mint condition. Leather does not even look warn or used.

just looked it up 80,00o km or 4 years over there!

We have 3 yrs unlimited milage, does that mean that you are not covered by landrover assist as well?

As soon as the LR warranty runs out you no longer get LR Assist.

My warranty ran out this May on my FFRR Vogue, and it's been a long time since I had a car out of warranty. So, I joined the AA here in the UK, paid for the almost full spec membership but means that no matter where I am in the UK or Europe, they can fix me or get me home or to my destination with a hire car too.

It's all about risk and peace of mind really.

if the history on the car is fine and its not got any hidden past, then it can still be a good buy. They are great cars. Even if a major service is due soon, you have to look at the longer term benefits.

Good luck! L319 D4 HSE

Looks nice and well cared for.

High mileage doesn't ALWAYS mean a ticking timebomb however bear in mind the hardware under the bodywork and how complex it is.

There has been talk on here of various issues occuring with some of the off roading hardware (Was it diffs or transfer boxes wearing out) so listen for any kind of noises when test driving it.

I would consider taking out some kind of warranty on it and buy with your eyes open, there is a risk of something going wrong be it major or minor so budget for the fact you may have to spend some money on it some way down the line.

As said before, full LR service history a must.

Yeah, I read your last post. Seems like you have had some bad luck with your RRS. I know how much it cost to work on these nice vehicles, we are actually trading in our '00 LR Disco II SE7 and we were fortunate that we didn't have any major issues with it(especially reading in the disco forums) so hopefully my luck with LR has not run out. Let me know how you make out.
