true - however this does highlight a problem for the dealer - if he cant shift the car then they probably wont get a sale. He's not giving them a low offer - he's saying he just cant get an offer at all and they won't put it on their forecourt either |

Several of the magazine items that I have read about this problem all point to the fact that used car dealers forecourts are totally clogged up with cars that they have had to finance and are loosing more money as values plummet yet further. It must be a nightmare being a company like Bramley who only deal in used luxury cars like Porsches, Bentleys and Rolls Royces with a heap of stock that won't shift in a month of Sundays in the present climate. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, the D5 engine is a dog. I know this as we had a XC70 D5 as a hire car one trip back to UK ( ). Awful engine! Really ST? It's supposed to be the best diesel in the C30, maybe because it only has to haul round half the bulk of the XC90. I tested one last year and found it OK, not a patch on any of the PSA/FORD/Land Rover/Jaguar TDv engines though. I also tested the T5 version which shares it's turbo 5 cylinder petrol engine with the Focus RS and STi - pity it had a severe drinking problem! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I second that! i brought that XC90 to the meet which was a 2.5d and it was ok, but wasn't very 'refined'... Plus it was quite difficult to keep up with ST in the Q7 on the return leg.. |
