Dealers: A separate forum heading?

I have read quite a few posts recently where people talk about how good or bad their dealers have been, someone also mentioned why not name and shame them.

Having been a member of other forums (non LR) that are larger communities and longer established I think it would be a very good idea to have a Dealers section where you can post anything about them. As a driving community we are entitled to know where is best to take our cars, good service deserves praise and poor service deserves to be publicised.

In that manner we can all then find out if our dealers are taking the mickey and we can compare such things as service costs, parts etc.

I know it's Martin's call but I for one think it would be very useful now that more of us are getting our Sports and needing to liaise with the dealerships. If we DO name and shame them perhaps they'll start taking notice and changing their attitudes.

What does everyone think to the idea? L319 D4 HSE

I agree. Name and shame the bad ones and praise the good ones.

My bad experience was with Rossleigh (Newcastle), part of the Reg Vardy group.

Sorry - from third world, not very good with words, but did not mean to offend.

I use Lloyd Landrover in Carlisle and think they are great. They are personable, professional, love Landrovers and really do go the extra mile (quite literally) to look after their customers. I live about 40 miles away from the dealership, but they unhesitatingly come and collect my car when it needs a service and drop off a loaner of the same breed. There is no charge for that. As a Mercedes driver in recent years I know what bad service can be (poor attitude, lack of communication, big surprises on the bill, no loaner - not even a lift to work from the dealership, and above all - total ignorance of their product).

Hi all

Sorry, yes I was on holiday last week Embarassed

I've created a new dealership feedback forum in the Marketplace (as it's to do with buying/selling) but am happy to move it to the main Range Rover Sport section (with General/Tech etc) if you think that'd be better? Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Hi Martin - thanks !

My preference would be to the main selection since the dealership would also be for maintenance, support & service..

thanks - Robert
