United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

..wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

That engine might work well in a 3 series Beemer, but in a FFRR it merely had delusions of adequacy that were sadly misfounded. I had the misfortune to own one when they first came out. Made me instantly feel old and fat. Had it about 6 weeks before I could bear it no more and handed it back to the dealer for about £3k less than I paid for it. And to make it worse - I left a good pair of sun glasses in the holder (about the only thing I liked about the car was that rather neat sunspec holder).

The TDv8 on the other hand Thumbs Up RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Sorry guys to disappoint, but a TDV6 Sport won't outdrag a TD6, been their done it, The sport might feel faster becasue its smaller and lower but it aint, neither vehicle can pull away from the other.

RRUK hold your head high! we still look down on Sport owners Cool we are supperior Wink Very Happy

Vogue, I don't think anyone here is under the illusion that the TDV6 Sport is in ANYWAY remotely rapid! Shocked

For me, the big difference is in engine refinement.

What we gain in that, we los in cabin design/quality Confused Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

I am old and fat and also owned a FFRR TD6 3.0l........................................... Big Cry Big Cry
It was a nice car but as said before the engine was adequate also rattly and wheezy - I chopped it in for the TDv6 and they were like chalk and cheese, and the RRS immediately took 15 years off my perceived agedness..... I borrowed a vogue TD6 last year for a week, and i actually thought it was ok.. interior quality made up for the noisey engine and it went reasonably well on the motorway. Obviously nothing on the new TDV8 engine in the vogue's now, but still good for the time.
