Tinting rear lights

I have seen a set of rear lights on eBay for my FL2

I was thinking about buying them and having them tinted down slightly to give it more of a shadowed grey look

I remember seeing something on here about a oven, but can't find it at the moment or is there any other way of doing it?

Do carstylingstudio not do them pre-tinted?

I have seen them, but they looked totally black

I want more of a smoked look to match the stornaway grey

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I've just looked on their website and yes they do smoked rear lights but the smoking is pretty dark. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I looked aswell, they are very dark on there site and expensive. To say a new set of unsmoked are £90

found a link on a post from Jaymann but it didn't work anymore on how to use a oven. (i think)

Has anybody had any experience with the stuff you can buy to tint lenses?

It can end up flaking off after a while... so not sure it's a great long term solution.

As CSS are a forum sponsor, do they not provide discount to forum members against list prices? Have a chat with them and see what they say.... no harm in that Thumbs Up

There is a product called Lamin-x that is basically a tintinmg film that can be used on lights. This will be a much better solution and is only 13% tinted in Light Smoke. It is that light it can even be used on head lights apparently. I have been trying to get hold of stock but the guys who bring it into the UK will not deal with trade. If you search Google for Lamin-x you should find it.

Hope that helps. www.designerwheels.co.uk

That looks to be a ideal solution

I wasn't happy about the spray on method I seen as they all look like they should never have been done

I look into the Lamin-X

Cheers
