Straight Pipe Exhaust on a V8

Has anyone seen or heard a straight pipe exhaust on a V8? Is it any good? Thinking of having one custom made, and on a petrol of course, any feedback would be appreciated Thumbs Up

Yes not on a RRS though. This was an older 4.0 V8, to be honest sounded fantastic, but gave me headache after half an hour! not sure how PLOD would view it or an MOT examiner...

also asking for trouble if your driving home from the pub!

OK, so what do you guys think is my best option for a custom built exhaust that adds more noise and more free-flow without being too loud?

Copy mine they are free flow from the cats back with tips that I like, you can have any tip you fancy (even nasty looking Overfinch or Kahn).

If you kick it she is loud and abusive but on long motorway runs etc she is all nice and quiet. So I think it has worked out on both accounts changing the exhausts.

Thanks for the kind comments ST. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

No worries!!

We did two converstions. My friend had his done first but it sounded to much like a Daytona 500 race car coming down the road. Shocked so we ajusted the noise level on mine by adding bigger boxes and she was spot on. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up .

That was my comcern to the noise levels, you want to be able to hold a conversation, well that's unless JayMann is in the car then the noise would be worth while. Very Happy Very Happy
