I was followed into town this morning by a rather attractive new Ford Kuga on a 58 plate, paintedin a sort of metallic gold with a tinge of green which according to the Kuga website is called Chilli................... really suits the car. Anyway I popped into the local dealers while I was shopping and they took me for test drive. It's only available with a 2.0TSci engine but apart from being incredibly noisy after the TDv8 it is a rather nice softroader with a superb suspension setup and the quality of the interior is very impressive.

They won't make them for long, then try and get parts/stuff for it at a later date.

It's cheaper than the FL2, but I'm not sure it's aimed at the same market.... this is more aimed at your "lifestyle" small SUVs such as Rav4/FRV etc. Added to which, when 5th gear drove it into a puddle it was game over (literally). Meant to be a good car, as long as you don't ask the moon of it

Not sure about TV ads - I've seen a couple on the roads, but remember the 5th gear episode from a couple of weeks back.

I really like them, a little expensive though. Good looking vehicle IMO. Ford's are increasingly good to drive too.

Probably is - Ford owns Mazda and the new Mazda 6 looks like a rebadged new Mondeo, so why not rebadge the Kuga too for the USA.
