Which one shall I buy??

Ok, after weeks of debate and more debate with certain members on here, I need a general concensus of opinion.

I am looking for a 3rd car for a bit of weekend fun and have limited the budget to £12k (ish). Now in todays economic climate that buys you a lot of car.

I have decided on either (a) Porsche Boxster 3.2S or (b) BMW Z4 3.0 SE Shocked

The question is, which one or can anyone suggest an alternative. Both have obvious drawbacks with the most obvious being the girlie label !! Either will be in silver or black.

I have to make a call soon....my B Censored y head hurts from keep looking in the obvious places that sell cars Rolling Eyes Mr. Green

HELP!!

Use the voting buttons chaps please, but naturally feel free to add the usual cutting comments Whistle Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Buy the Porsche, I know it's got a bit of a label but it's a cracking drive and value for money at the moment. They are going through BCA and Manheim at ridiculous money. Speed Limits! not where I live!

I agree Gazza - put you money somewhere safe for 3-4 months and buy then when prices have fallen even more coz nobody in their right mind wants to buy a convertable sports car in mid winter. The a Censored se might have dropped out of the economy even more so there will be folks even more desperate to sell too!

Z4 is a nice car, personally the boxter is not my cup of tea...

What about a Honda S2000? loads here in your price range...

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=327

Im guessing that your wanting a convertible from the 2 choices.. so why not think of a TVR? for the price range of 12K you can find a late model Chimera or Griffith that has been well looked after and dont believe all the horror stories, I have done many a mile in the 5 TVRs I have owned and only 1 of them had a problem.

Good luck!

The one complaint I have heard about the Z4 from owners is its small fuel tank, it needs regular fills and dosn't go far between them Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Yep... I'd choose the Z4 over the Boxster. I have driven both and Boxster isn't as tight as the Z4 imo.

HOWEVER, Lotus is a good place to go. Caterham even better.

Or if you're brave and fancy spending money on running it:

Between the two I've opted for the Porsche, however neither are my first choice
