I have an RR sport TDV8 and wish to take it skiing at christmas.
The last time I did this was with an X5 which suffered a lot of corrosion damage.
Can anyone advise a company that will underseal to protect it?

Before an After near rugby now I think, not cheap, but have had heard very thorough, try google, always advertised in landrover mags

You should not need to do this, in the winter we spend a lot of time in Winterberg, (local ski resort) and I have not had a problem with my sport or previous D3. Speed Limits! not where I live!

i don't see how going to a ski resort will make any difference as in the UK they put loads of salt on the road too

Think they have moved now.....Warwickshire or Wolverhampton or somewhere.

From what I know, under floor areas and rocker outer panels are treated with a plastisol PVC underbody sealer. Metal to metal adhesive is applied to critical joint areas during factory assembly.

All Land Rover bodywork components have a cathodic base coating. Individual bodywork components are zinc plated on one or both sides (in different areas depending on vehicle model).

Together with elastic paint coating, this guarantees an optimum, highly resistant protection against corrosion caused by the impact of small objects such as gravel.

A heat cured, PVC based sealant is applied to specific joint seams during factory assembly.

Expanding foam acoustic seals are used in various closed-sections of the body to improve vehicle refinement. The seals are installed during the vehicle body manufacture and expand during the paint process up to ten times original size, thus locking them into position. The seals have spilt functionality depending on location. The seals located at the base of the body pillars have a primary function of preventing water ingress when wading. Their secondary function is to prevent noise and dust ingress.

Cavity wax is injected in box members, cavities and door interiors.

I could go on and on but I guess you get the drift...  Malaysia Boleh!

Correct Tim, all members steer very clear Quite the most appalling job I have ever had the misfortune to see when I took the recently totally-restored Classic. The RRS's will rust, ultimately, just like the P38's are now doing, but members will have unloaded theirs long before that happens, no doubt. Or they will have been re-posessed!
