Do you think this thing would be safe to power 4 things at one time?

It's only 50p then the 2 port plug i'm thinking well why not not like i'll ever use all 4 (well maybe 3 ports) at anyone time anyway but will it be ok for the car? RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Either its ok for the car or its not, the beauty is it will just not work if its too much so you dont have to make that call. This is what I was told and im certainly no electrician!

I have a smaller one that takes 2 USB and I've used this with no problems, although the first attempt blew the internal fuse in the unit itself.

I cannot see this hurting the car - the USB load is far less than the lighter load in use - worst case scenario would be one / some of the items not powering or charging due to load (and that would be down to items in use) but cannot see that to be the case when you look at USB voltage and current ratings....
