Just watched that video again Shocked

One of the comments does say that they had no power for a hour maybe thats why it was bobbing around so much.

Don't think it should have got intot that situation though, with all the modern systems it would have onboard

Tim, How many containers have you lost overboard Shocked

While on the ferry heading into Ijmuden on saturday morning, the ships that were at anchor were fairly rolling around while we were rock steady .... until they had to pull in the stabilizers and slowed down for the harbour

This sort of stuff is fascinating. I watched that vid a few times and I can't imagine what it must have been like to be on board. Do you run into horrendous conditions like that a lot Tim? You can imagine people running from side to side on the bridge like they used to in the Star Trek TV series Laughing

Worst conditions I've been out in was in 1972 crossing from Newcastle to Oslo on the MS Braemar, we had a force 10 gale blowing and the waves were coming over the bridge Shocked Dad, Joe and myself were the only 3 passengers that didn't skip a meal Whistle

Out fishing in a 16ft open dory with my brother, going back to the harbour we had the tide against the wind/waves making for a very steep sea going round Noss Head, the waves were about 10ft high... fun... "Pass me my brown courdoroys Hardy" Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I liked this one...

In very rough weather though, some passengers said they could see the fins coming out of the water. This must have been quite a storm as the fins were a long way below the waterline.
