VW Touareg R50

Been on a VW Unlimited day this morning in the Touareg R50 (and the Golf R32 and Passat R36) and can confirm the R50 is an absolute ANIMAL

It is one amazing machine - did some driving with and without the ESP etc and then some high speed driving - its acceleration is very smooth yet probably the quickest Diesel 4x4 I've ever been in, however the handling is incredible due to the tweaked air suspension and slightly wider track due to the 21" alloys.

Unfortunately as it was at MIRA we couldn't take any photos, however there were some formal ones taken so I'll get some pics up later for those interested.

I hate to say this, however car no.4 may be on the cards for 2008

enquired about putting the 21" alloys on mine, however they too wide (hence the wheel arch extenders on the R50) - shame

VW were one of the main sponsors at Cowes Week this year. I had a quick look around their display stand and I have to say I was really impressed with the Touareg R50. It looks like a nice piece of kit. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
