United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Was it a good deal?

2 weeks ago picked up my first RRS TDV6 HSE and after much reviewing of posts on here not sure if my deal was good or bad maybe some honest opinions out there, the car i traded was a Lexus RX 300 SE-L 2003 with 96K on the clock dealer gave me £9,500 against a 06 RRS as above with 22K on clock and screen price of £32995 i also got him to throw in first service and LR aftermarket Bluetooth phone kit, with exception of a few internal marks rest of car is spotless.

I thought i got good deal based homework and trade in value but not sure now.

Thanks

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

If you feel like it was a good deal at the time, and you were happy with it. Then it was a good deal. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

You could have got a RRS cheaper with similar mileage & age but if the trade in was good on the Lexus then it was a good deal (Haven't a clue on 2nd hand prices on Lexus) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

If you were happy with it then is a good deal.
Lexus petrol SUV, did well to even get a bid to be honest.
We sold a LS430 against a newer LS460 SE-L which completed today, and that we struggled to get any Lexus dealer to take!

What additional spec did you have on the sport?

I agree with the 'if youre happy its a good deal' sentiment

If you want to go deeper however.........

33k seems total top dollar for an 06 model
V8 08's are now under 40k

So:

1) Whats your Lexus worth?

2) What are the extras you got 'thrown in' worth

3) How much pain did the salesman show when you signed the deal Smile

Id suggest a leggy petrol Lexus would be worth naff all
Parkers offers 11k but seems miles behind reality at the moment

So 9k prob isnt too bad
Lets be honest would you want a 100k mile Lexus second hand for £10,000?
I cant imagine paying that much for a leggy anything, especially a high tech car like that

Cheers

Leeds, you say the dealer threw in the first service............................. at 22000 miles it isn't due a service until it is 24 months old or has done 30000miles or the service indicator has come on. Hope you got it in writing that they will give you the next service as it could be a long time coming! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes ensured they did that and replaced rear pads before delivery so next service not due until 12 months or 15k.

As long as everything was done i really dont care however just found that a piece of trim that was removed to enable the bluetooth fit is damaged so will be taking that back i can only assume the guy who did the job thought that if he put it back neatly i would not notice so another trip to the stealer, amazing had car 2 weeks and spent more time in the Censored stealers in that time than the whole 5 years i owned a Lexus, just hope the dealer experience proves to be as good.

I hope so too mate... as you'll see in reading the countless dealer experiences here, there are good dealers and some who simply don't appear to give a monkeys. Again some who have great sales teams, but crap service departments and vice versa. Would be good for others if you started a thread in the dealer feedback section about yours Thumbs Up

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

XXX Angel XXX is right. Its a good deal. A few quid here or there isn't really important, if you like the car.

Anyway, you have a proper SUV now, not a mummy's one.

I would have asked the stealer to throw is a set of side steps as part of the deal though. No big deal to them since they only cost about 391 quid. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
