My car is a UK spec LHD with extras to comply with Belgian regulations, ordered through MacCrae & Dick in Inverness, cost an extra £300 on top of the UK price but still much cheaper than getting one here in Belgium. LR have department devoted to "export vehicles" (and odball specs) and through your local dealer will make it painless for you. It took 12 weeks from placing the order to picking up the car. From all the feed back I've heard and read about James and CHPR they will keep you right. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Unfortunately Export Sales is handled by Stratstone Mayfair, however we can supply a LHD on UK terms.

Adrian - be very careful about importing cars into the "emerging" Far East countries and check out the levels of duty that you get hit with when it arrives in Vietnam. I'm not joking here but many countries out there have car and truck building facilities and just HATE imported cars with a vengence (ask Bobby what Malaysia is like and also Thailand has extortionate duty levied on imported vehicles) often hitting you with more than 100% of the car's value (in the country of purchase) in import duty or you ahve to have a "certificate of entitlement" like in singapore before you are even allowed to buy a car. Shipping a car from the UK to Vietnam isn't difficult - the company I work for has connecting containership services from UK to Singapore then on to Vietnam 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Bodster2, Mrs S works no more than 100yds from the very place you're talking about (we used to live in the next village along from Grayshott) - shall I send her in on a mission? I suggest you might find 20k winging it's way to you very quickly indeed
