Update!

I am told that Land Rover will be loaning us a G4 RRS complete with Kayak and mountain bike (fingers crossed) which will be on display along with some the 09my product that we already have on site.

As promised I now have a Land Rover mountain bike which we will be offering as a prize draw for those forum members that will be there on the day. My understanding of how it will work is that every individual with a car pass (supplied by NickM) will be given a prize draw slip to complete which will gather in when the vehicles leave the dealership. I will then pull a name out of a hat shortly after lunch, and hopefully the winner will still be at The Ace and will be able to take the bike away with them. If the winner hasn't been thoughtful enough Whistle to bring a RRS with them then we will obviously hatch a plan to get it to you somehow!

I am aware that some of you are concerned about finding the dealership, therfore we will be putting up 'RRS MEET' signs in the morning close to the dealership, so keep an eye out for them!

The plan still stands with meeting at the dealership at 12:00 noon with a view to taking some snaps, a cup of coffee and a quick tour of the workshops etc (should anyone want it). Then around 13:00 you will set off in convoy up the M40 and then back via smaller roads to The ACE for around 14:00. NickM is looking after The Ace side of things, but I understand parking is available for quite a few cars (don't forget the passes) which will allow everyone to admire the other RRS's there and also have a bite to eat.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

James Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Can someone put a tick next to me on the list please. I've just mentioned the meet to SWMBO'd again and she still hasn't said no. So I'll make the most of it while I can.

If she complains now it's too late. She had her chance and missed out. Laughing Laughing Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I've been looking at my Garmin & it doesn't have a listing for the garage.

Several other car dealerships are shown on Dukes Road, but not CH ??

I'll do a Google Maps or maps.live search & see if I can see the garage to get the co-ordinates.

Jay, do you have the names of the guys of the other sites on here who initially said they wanted to come? Can't remember if it was you who mentioned it....

I will hand out the passes on the dat at Charles Hurst - otherwise no other way to get them to you all beforehand...

A dealer from Kent somewhere asked if they could bring some cars to the Ace - for display....they got my number from Ace themselves - although the dealer is a private one who specialises in RRS - I politely declined

'tis certainly a car park full of Landies, anyway.

So I'd say there's a fair chance it's CHPR.

Still we will await confimation Wink

Tis really easy to find - only thing is if you are approaching from M1 or M40 and heading into town on A40, you need to do a U turn after you pass a rental place for cars (the best car rental place I have ever seen - Phantom Cabs, 599's etc, all in a surrounding more like a £1 shop - very classy!) keep in left hand lane and u turn, and drive back for half a mile and you will see it on your left hand side - although I g'tee you - 50% of all of you will miss it and drive straight past!!!

On a side note, just want to say thanks to everyone who mailed me or sent texts to me while I was away and sorry for not replying to you all - getting on here or using my phone was the last thing I could do, and I feel bad for not thanking anyone or replying sooner - I should have realised that maybe a reply was a good idea - so thanks everyone again - I'm getting better, just taking it easy and getting used to expecting another heart attack probably happening again!!!! yeah surreal I know!! Thumbs Up
