First and foremost, I need a 100% reliable connection for about 120 hours during the week as I connect on a Sunday evening and keep running until 7pm ish Friday night. I also have multiple applications and data feeds running so not sure that would be a viable route, even if it was avalable Confused

Ah! So its not just for RRSPORT.CO.UK then......I was going to say....£282 a month just for this Laughing

I have just had the opposite experience from BT.

Phoned up Monday Night (9.30) to report a line fault at a remote, unmanned hut in a field. Engineer arrives Tuesday afternoon (2pm) and carries out checks along the line of poles feeding the site and locates a problem. Problem is on a bit of cable that crosses a restricted access area. Access to the area is arranged (not under BT control) and Engineer turns up early Thursday morning to repair.

This is a normal domestic phone contract but on a long run of poles so needing an engineer qualified in working at heights - so I was impressed by the speed of the response, the amount of information (I was contacted twice a day from Tuesday to Thursday updating me on progress).

So a good service all in all.

BT seem to be a world unto themselves... how one of the world's largest telcos can afford to have their call centre out of action for so long I don't know..

That could be due to their worship of India .. you could not imagine how much they have off-shored, including internal IT un-helpful help desks, sales back office, retail front office customer support etc. good luck Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
