As we are just over a month away from the London Meet, I'd like to get some numbers, details etc up and running.

Can you all let me know the following, and email me at nick@starknakeddesign.com

1. If you are definitely coming to Charles Hurst and Ace Cafe (Meet & Lunch)
2. If you require accommodation - at what level (either standard or slightly better than standard! Travelodge vs Holiday Inn) and for what night(s) (Fri, Sat or both)
3. If you want to come to dinner for an Indian in Hounslow - a great open kitchen restaurant where you can bring your own drinks
4. Any of you interested in a local car wash valet (£10 inside and out)
5. What car are you bringing - and if a RRS, what colour, spec etc etc

If you are able to address all 5 of the above, then I can make the necc arrangements, no's etc and also get ready the vehicle passes for Ace Cafe

If any of you know of a Sponsor that wants to come down to the site and bring some items for sale.....side indicators, mats, badges, etc etc....please keep me posted if this can be arranged.

Meet Details

Guys, could you please let me know details re the meet - how many nights you want to stay, dinner in the evening, what car etc etc.......There is little over a month left, and due to not being around the last month, would really appreciate your details etc, to help me get everything together....thanks to those of you who have responded so far.

Nick, I think there maybe a bit of confusion with who is sorting what out.

Please can you clarify for everyone who is sorting what as we (maybe just me ) thought James at CHL was sorting passes and therefore HE would need to know who is coming in which car? Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award

All,

I think most of us were wondering where NickM had been, and I had a few PM's asking if the meet was still on schedule. In NickM's adscence I was offering to assist with the planning, but I am glad to see he's back and has got his organisational hat firmly on!

Therefore, NickM will be looking after the event as a whole, however I will be looking after the following:

Meet at noon at CHPR.
Hand out the ACE passes (supplied by NickM prior to the event by forum nickname)
Space to park up and have a group shot of the cars.
Teas and coffee's and toilet facilities.
A wander round the site for anyone interested.
A prize draw for a mountain bike (will prob draw the name out at The Ace).
Trying to get an interesting vehicle from LR to display.
Possibly 09my RRS on display.
I will also come to the ACE and may have a small display there?

In addition to this I am happy to assist with:

Creating the car passes and guest list if needs-be.
Route for the 45min cruise from CHPR to The Ace (it's 1 mile away but we thought you'd like a cruise), in the form of a flyer/map with way-points.

I'm primed and ready to go and will help with anything that is needed, however it's NickM's gig and I'll await his delagation!

Yes VA, at £1500 a ticket providing that a minimum of 37 tickets are purchased, it won't be a problem!

Am I the only one who would happily buy a ticket for that draw?? One of us would walk away a very very happy person...perhaps maybe think of a draw for a free service or something (worth say £500) and would only be about £20 a ticket.....

Thanks james for your help - the Dealer visit is a large part of the event and it's good knowing it's in your hands - as for the trip down the M40.....would be a great run - maybe come off at Denham and wonder round the back streets - or even a quick drive up into Beaconsfield old town, U turn and come back again......

I cant see the other 36 people being very happy when there name doesnt come up . Id just hate to drive a car with that many negative vibes .

Theres a company whos going to be giving away a E92 M3 vert at the motorshow (£20 tickets!).

It was tounge in cheek, as I think we'd need some sort of licence as it's almost a lottery!

Back on track, I'm happy to assist so drop me an email with any concerns and I'll do all I can to assist. Perhaps you can put the convoy route on the back of the pass? I would suggest to Beaconsfield and then back via GX and Denham and back onto the A40. I believe Jaymann & ViewWise are keen to take some snaps. With this in mind can everyone be aware that a SL55 and a Black '08' TDV8 RRS may go back and forth up the convoy to take snaps (just in case you think they are messing around)!

Just sorting a bike for the draw, and looking forward to it.
