Plasma TVs

I thought I would ask your collective wisdoms in helping me buy a new TV. We are looking for a 42" one and think we want a plasma. I had initially thought we would go for this Panasonic as we don't have sky http://www.cheapelectricals.co.uk/acatalog...QgodPw32tQ and then I saw the Pioneer http://www.cheapelectricals.co.uk/acatalog..._4280.html which you can get for about £1,300. It isn't as high spec being HD ready rather than full HD - but is it worth the extra £300 as it will really blow my budget (and upset the wife!)? Also are the 5 year warranties worth having? I want to put a blue ray surround sound system with it in time, but at the mo my Technics one will have to do.

You thoughts and opinions are much appreciated! Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

i don't know much myself about these types of TV's but i often hear people say go for the full HD

The 3 years warranty can be worth it, my brothers Sony broke down when it was 1 1/2 years old, lucky he bought his from COSTCO and you get 3 years included in the price which is normally quite good too (i think the was offering 5 years at the weekend on some brands)

Half one for a grand would be good. I think it is fair to say the HD Ready Pioneer is a better tv that the Full HD from Panasonic (although I have only seen the Tvs in Currys Embarassed so probably weren't set up to the best standard) but how can I justify the extra?? Perhaps being single you've got it right Jay Laughing Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I recommend the numpty's at Currys

A friend bought a 32", and got free DVD recorder and stand, When he got home and unpacked it he thought the stand looked smaller, was about to call them and complain they had given him the the wrong stand when his wife pointed out the box for the TV said 37" on it not 32" Shocked
