2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Wheels/Tyres

I'm thinking about a set of 22" wheels, is there anything I need to have done to the car to put them on or is it a case of just swapping them over, I'll be putting 285/35/22 tyres on.

A lot depends on the rim of course, but by rights you shouldn't need to do anything.

Barry had mine done by them too - they look incredible don't they??? Is your ride slightly firmer though?? Mine is but hardly a bid deal. Mate have you got a spare set of wheels in case of warranty or you not bothered??

what about installing the tire pressure monitors and re-calabrating the speedo? Can this be done on the RRS? Got 22'' stormers? Give me some Pictures with your tire size

The tyre pressure monitors should be a straight fit for most wheels designed for the Range Rover, who ever supplies you the wheels should know what to do and if they don't I would not use them. About re-calibrating the speedo I do not know of a way of doing it and have never seen anyone do it, but that does not mean there isn't one. The 285/35/22 tyre is out by 2.8% so when your speedo reads 60mph you are actually doing 61.7mph, if you want the right rolling radius you will need a 295/30/22, but you will get a little less side wall and worse ride.
Also if you are getting wheels and want Stormers, please get genuine ones as many of the replicas are of poor quality and I have seen several sets with cracks, buckles and flaking paint! You have purchased an expensive, heavy car so do not put it at risk by fitting poor quality wheels. You should never cut corners on brakes, tyres or wheels!! Think about a set of £1200 reps with Toyos, the tyres are about £680 for four, leaving £520. Take off the VAT, giving £442.55 and out of that the dealers, distributor and manufacturer all need to make a profit, plus they need to be shipped from China!! I bet they are not using top grade materials at that price!! Sorry for the little rant, reps are a pet hate. Use products from a well established manufacturer who will give you a quality product with a warranty.
These wheels cost about £1600 inc VAT with 285 Toyos or 295 Kumhos so are only slightly more expensive than the reps and of much better quality.

The 295/30/22 will go on with no problem as long as the wheels are the correct offset. The tyres on the RRS in the pic are the 285/35/22 Toyos, most people go for the 285/35/22 as they have that little bit more side wall and take the edge of any bumps.

These have 295/30/22s on

and these have 285/35/22s on

There is not a lot in it, but it is noticable. The 285/35/22 is 0.9" larger in diameter. www.designerwheels.co.uk

thanks for the pics Will a 295-35-22 fit my HSE? What about a 295-40-22? What about a 285-40-22? My wifes X5 has a nice wide tire on the rear stock. I want to be at least that wide all the way around. I think she has a 285-45-19.

Id say go with the 285-35-22 if you sensitive to bumps. Go with the 295-30-22 if you want your speedo to be unnaffected and your rear tire 1cm wider than your wifes Razz .

Will a 295-35-22 fit? What about a 285-40-22? I will not put on a 30 series sidewall, not enough meat...

295/35/22 should fit with out problem, but the rolling radius will be out by 3.8% so when the speedo reads 60mph you will be doing 62.3mph. If you want the extra side wall I would recommend the 285/35/22. www.designerwheels.co.uk
