Drivers Seat Not Sliding Forwards/Backwards

The forwards and backwards adjustment on the drivers seat base in my RRS has stopped functioning. It's a standard seat without the memory function, and all other directional movements work. Passenger seat works 100%.

I'm in warranty so will go into the stealer sometime this week, but am curious if anyone else has suffered this??

Motor's gone faulty in some way I presume - dealer is the best place for it.

Could it have taken a fuse out? Are there separate motors - one for the heavy functions one for light(er)?

Went to the stealer on the way home as they said 'just pop in'. The seat did start working for a little while, but it also stopped again, so they tried the quick fix method which has left the interior of the RRS with the wonderful aroma of 'eau de WD40'! This hasn't worked so they will have it in for the day next week so they can take a proper look!

Okay so was at the Stealer today, and even though the seat was working fine they have decided to replace one of the switches, which will not be in stock 'til tomorrow so I have to go back then!

Whilst the car was in they performed a 'service item' on the car (not requested by me) as apparently the clutches on some of the cars have been slipping!? That's all I could get, so not sure if anyone else out there needs to look at getting theirs done and what exactly the symtoms are that this fixes! Could this be the infamous drive line shunt?? - there have been a very few times (3 or 4) that as I have slowed to pull up at the lights and the car has jerked as if it was changing gear suddenly!
